UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency and Here I Am are thrilled to invite women-led and refugee-led organisations to apply for our free Digital Gender Inclusion and Innovation Bootcamp 2026. In our digital age, women and girls who are displaced or stateless face particular barriers to accessing technology and digital tools. This bootcamp is part of UNHCR's broader commitment to:

  • Strengthen the leadership and agency of displaced and stateless women
  • Build inclusive and community-driven innovation ecosystems
  • Advance digital gender equality
  • Support safe, meaningful digital access

This programme will equip your organisation with practical tools and skills to advance digital equality for displaced and stateless women and girls in your communities. Your organisation can nominate up to 2 women to take part to ensure meaningful learning and increase the positive impact of the bootcamp for your organisation. The live learning sessions are for women participants only.

This bootcamp is free for your organisation and includes:

  • 5 live online learning sessions
  • 8 self-paced online learning modules
  • Peer learning, exchange and networking
  • Certificate upon completion

Eligible organisations

Applications are welcome from organisations working with forcibly displaced and stateless women and girls, including:

  • Women-led organisations (WLOs) – especially refugee women-led organisations (RWLOs)
  • Refugee-led organisations (RLOs) - An organization or group in which persons with direct lived experience of forced displacement play a primary leadership role and whose stated objectives and activities are focused on responding to the needs of refugees and/or related communities.
  • Community-based organisations (CBOs)

Your organisation should have:

  • Experience supporting displaced or stateless women and girls, AND/OR A strong commitment to advancing their rights and opportunities
  • Experience with digital inclusion and innovation work, OR A clear interest in learning about digital inclusion and innovation

Participation model - nominate up to 2 women in your organisation

To ensure meaningful learning and increase the impact of the bootcamp for organisations, 2 women can be nominated per organisation. The live learning sessions are for women participants only.

Nominated participants, must:

  • Be able to commit 10-12 hours total across the programme, to:
    • Attend 5 live online sessions (5hrs - 6hrs)
    • Complete 8x self-paced learning modules (5hrs - 6hrs)
  • Speak English, French, Arabic, or Spanish
  • Be able to join 5x up to 1 hour long live online sessions
  • Have access to Zoom (by computer or mobile phone)
  • Have stable enough internet connection to participate
  • Be comfortable using basic online learning platforms

Participants who complete all learning modules will receive a Digital Gender Inclusion and Innovation Bootcamp Certificate.

The bootcamp will provide a holistic perspective on delivering impactful digital gender inclusion projects. We will make our best effort to accommodate the needs of selected organisations, including for visually/hearing impaired attendees. Please note that a detailed agenda, tailored to the priorities highlighted by applicants, will be shared later on.
