The Inclusive Systems We Built Together in 2025

2025 has been a year of sharpening our purpose and expanding our impact. In partnership with some incredible organisations, we focused on one clear goal: creating resilient and scalable systems that include the excluded.

These ten highlights capture the breadth of that work.

1. One Acre Fund

In partnership with Ravel, we helped One Acre Fund understand how young farmers experience digital tools in real life. Our research surfaced what builds trust, what gets in the way and how to design services that genuinely support their ambitions.

2. UNICEF

We are partnering with UNICEF to equip women-led and community organisations with practical tools to navigate AI and tech safety in GBV response. Together we are creating clear, accessible guidance that strengthens frontline capacity where safety matters most.

3. UNDP Sudan

Sudan’s financial system has been upended by conflict, leaving millions reliant on digital finance for daily survival but without the skills or confidence to use it safely. We’re working with UNDP to create a co-designed Digital Financial Literacy programme to ensure the most marginalised aren’t left behind.

4. Lumos

We are supporting Lumos to design the business and operating models that will guide its next decade. Together we are shaping the systems, tools and decision frameworks needed for sustainable, scalable impact for children and families.

5. British Council

Fatima Research supported the British Council’s evaluation of English teaching in Palestine. Fatima enabled ethical, secure insight gathering, upskilled local researchers and ensured every voice could be safely heard in a fragile context.

6. Terre des Hommes + Social Development Direct

We redesigned the global Safeguarding Resource and Support Hub. A new structure, improved accessibility and unified multilingual design will make safeguarding guidance easier to find, easier to use and easier to trust. Alongside this, Never Know Defeat led the brand refresh.

7. UNHCR

In our third year with UNHCR, we are co-creating a global digital gender inclusion learning system that expands agency and safety for refugee- and women-led organisations. A community-led model ensures the training reflects real contexts and real leadership.

8. Systems Risk Mapping

We strengthened our Systems Risk Mapping practice, helping teams identify and manage risk in today’s complex and connected world.. This method now guides how we design safer, more resilient human and digital services.

9. Ethics Assessment Framework

We launched our Ethics Assessment Framework, a practical tool available to everyone, that helps organisations decide if a partner or project is a good fit.

10. New Brand and Positioning

We launched a new brand and set a clearer direction for what comes next. Our work now focuses on building inclusive systems that are ethical, resilient and scalable.

None of this work happens in isolation. We are deeply grateful to the partners, collaborators, researchers, designers, facilitators and community members who trusted us, challenged us and built alongside us this year. Your openness, courage and commitment to doing things well and doing them differently made this work possible. We look forward to continuing the journey together in 2026, and beyond.
